Racism: Switzerland gives ca

We will not fall into the mix and it is certain that Switzerland is made up of people open and ... human. But my Swiss friends Wake up, do you hear!

Indeed part of the Swiss, has seen the posters issued by the UDC party (the largest party represented in the National Council), the nationalists are in power. Racist and xenophobic nationalism, I'll let you judge for yourself.

Here are two posters in recent years DISTRIBUTED:

udc-suisse

Suisse-Affiche-UDC-1-2

And the worst part is that most Swiss do ... and let you know how much I hate the indifferent !

So the UDC it again has the opportunity of a "referendum" to decide on the free movement of Romanians and Bulgarians in the territory of Switzerland. And here's the poster found on this occasion in Switzerland:

Plakate_F4:Raben_F4

And it happens right next to home ... and we let him ... We keep our eye cup and told us that all is well ... It does remind you of anything!

So we could call for a boycott of products Switzerland: Gruyere, Rolex, Nestle Products, Nespresso coffee machine, tourism ... or stop buying disks Johnny ;) But I do not think we should fight against fundamentalism with fundamentalism!

And if all these posters insupportent bloggers wrote a little article denouncing the open racism, and if those that do not broadcast their discontent Blog by email, Facebook, Twitter or any other media ....

This article may be copies as needed.

Yes We Can!

Perhaps these posters are honest and tend to hurt racist, but I think that the Swiss political fact remains much more open, consistent and above all democratic than many others ...

Learn about our political system (Swiss so) and you will see that while some parties are very extreme, we remain very open. Besides, I think the campaigns for votes in relation to bilateral agreements are part of freedom of opinion and expression. The ban would be counter to this principle, which if I remember correctly is more or less part of France, right? Liberty, fraternity, equality ....

I know that Switzerland is very democratic, and I did not do an article on everything that goes in Switzerland it would be too long ;) Switzerland is also can be too democratic at times giving it a certain inertia has to make decisions, but that's another subject.

It is a shame to ruin it all with posters aggressive at this point, with this lack of respect for other people ... That is against the free movement of Romanians and Bulgarians I can understand (though I have some badly), but the link has a Raven abroad and all that it represents no!

Everyone knows "The freedom of one ends where that of others." The notion of equality and fraternity are just as noble as that of the Freedom ... Let me return the posters as the image of Switzerland: Freedom for us the Swiss, the Swiss Gender us and fear of strangers ...

However there would be plenty to do in France too, but in France (this is what the world criticizes the French, everything back to their country) at least we protested, we denounce ... We should learn from Switzerland on many ways but not the.

Note, to be totally clear, I am not against the principle of elections (referenda). But why so much hatred. Why this need to play on the fears!

Thank you for your participation, I do not think that our opinion is totally opposite.

  • dkYeah

No, our opinions are not very different, because I must admit I'm pretty green (so centrist left) and UDC (right, right extremist party by region) and the ideas I like UDC does only moderately.

What you should know is that the UDC won an especially big hit on the German side of Switzerland and not on the side romand. UDC then have several sections. There are the UDC in Zurich, the most popular and widespread, it is those who are responsible for the posters and are led by the now internationally known and Uli Maurer Christoph Blocher, and on the other hand also with the UDC ideas patriotic, nationalistic, but less advanced. By the way it is good to know qu'UDC in French translates Union People's Party .... all say they have a funny notion of the center ;)

In short, all that to say that the UDC are like all parties, there are people who are more extreme than others and for his posters, people not living in Switzerland and did not know the party find it completely immoral, but here we start to laugh, it becomes anything ... :)

DkYeah thank you for these details that will make this evening I go to sleep less stupid than yesterday :) It's reassuring to see that there are Swiss like you and know that 30% of Switzerland who vote for the UDC are not all may be blinded by xenophobia primary.

I am Swiss, and now, when you have a spirit of openness, tolerance, it is not easy.
A kind of latent shame, as unpleasant a boil misplaced, because you feel sorry for the mentor (ers) of the UDC party and their supporters.
The party has a major advantage, he cultivates the fear of what is wrong or not know.
So legions of uneducated ideas short (too big a percentage of the population!) Identify their phobias, and think that the UDC will gérir decades of withdrawal, frustration and complex.
Proof of this is: the majority of UDC supporters in my town have never traveled outside Western Europe or the United States.
The ideas conveyed by the party should appeal to fascists like Sarko, as the flights, "it is foreigners," unemployment "also" can attract a large number of idiots and validate the return of foreigners.
There is no choice but to hammer home the "other" is a fantastic person who deserves to be known and in contact with who you get rich (I mean of course the intellectual side, in that it there is confusion in short ideas).
Good news though, students, academics, and other young people begin to refuse to admit that we can not fight these ideas.
In short, few thousand years, humans may say that it was really too cons in the 2000s.
